SALT LAKE CITY & NEW YORK CITY – Feb 2, 2026 – The Cynosure Group (“Cynosure”), an independent alternatives asset manager and registered investment advisor, is pleased to announce several key promotions within Cynosure Partners, its private growth equity and private credit team. These promotions underscore Cynosure’s dedication to fostering professional growth and recognizing the valuable contributions of its team members. All promotions are effective January 1, 2026.
Alex Taggart promoted to Director Based in the Salt Lake City office, Alex Taggart has been promoted to Director. Since joining Cynosure in April 2023, Mr. Taggart has played a critical role in fundraising and portfolio growth for Cynosure’s Private Credit Fund. His depth of market knowledge and the credibility he has built with LPs and lending parters have made Alex a trusted leader within the firm. Prior to joining Cynosure, he held positions at Zion’s Bank, GE Capital, and Citi.

Charlotte Dougall promoted to Vice President Based in the New York City office, Charlotte Dougall has been elevated to Vice President. Since joining Cynosure in July 2024, she has played an instrumental role in various high-profile transactions and has consistently demonstrated strong performance. Additionally, she has emerged as a mentor to junior team members. Charlotte’s promotion reflects her dedication and growing impact on the firm. Before joining Cynosure, she worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Centerview Partners and was an Associate with Solamere Capital.

Erik Garn promoted to Vice President Based in the Salt Lake City office, Erik Garn has been promoted to Vice President. Since joining Cynosure in September 2024, he quickly distinguished himself through contributions on multiple meaningful transactions for the firm and through his ability to contribute to value creation efforts. One of his most distinctive strengths is his leadership of junior talent. He has become one of the firm’s most consistent mentors. Prior to Cynosure, Erik worked at American Pacific Group and Partners Group.
